Rumors is a contemporary bar and kitchen on Koestraat, one of the picturesque side streets off the Onze Lieve Vrouweplein. A drink or a bite, lunch while you're out shopping, a moment to unwind after work or simply the start of your evening: at Rumors you can do it all. The style is urban and relaxed, with no fuss.
The kitchen opens at noon. At lunchtime you'll find gourmet sandwiches, banana bread, soup, salads and burgers on the menu. After that it moves on to bites made for sharing: oysters, gyoza, calamari fritti, scampi, carpaccio, steak tartare and Argentinian veal skewers with chimichurri. For two people there is the Rumors Special, a selection of hot and cold bites of fish and meat.
Alongside the food, Rumors pours wines and an extensive list of cocktails. In the evening the place turns into one of the liveliest spots in the Jekerkwartier, where you're just as welcome to drop in for a drink alone. On Friday and Saturday evenings reservations are for dinner only, so if you're just coming for drinks you can simply walk in.
